D-Link 8-Port PoE Gigabit Smart Managed Switch+ 2 SFP ports

The D-Link 8-Port PoE Gigabit Smart Managed Switch with 2 SFP uplink ports is a reliable and efficient networking solution for small to medium-sized businesses seeking robust performance, flexible deployment, and simplified management. Designed to support high-speed connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, this switch enables seamless integration of IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones while ensuring centralized control and energy-efficient operation. With advanced Layer 2 features, enhanced security, and intuitive management tools, it offers the flexibility and scalability needed for dynamic business networks.

Product Features

Smart Managed Control

This switch includes a user-friendly web-based interface and supports multiple management methods including CLI (Telnet/SSH), SNMP, and the D-Link Network Assistant, providing network administrators with a comprehensive and flexible control experience.

Power over Ethernet (PoE+)

Equipped with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting IEEE 802.3af/at, the switch delivers up to 30 watts per port with a total PoE power budget of up to 96 watts. It eliminates the need for separate power sources for compatible devices like IP cameras and access points.

Extended PoE Distance

With PoE Extend Mode enabled, power and data transmission can reach up to 250 meters, making it ideal for wide-area surveillance or remote device deployments that exceed standard Ethernet distances.

Gigabit Performance

The switch provides a non-blocking switching capacity of 20 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps, ensuring low latency and high-speed communication for demanding network environments.

Advanced Layer 2 Networking

Features like VLAN tagging, Spanning Tree Protocols (STP/RSTP/MSTP), link aggregation (LACP), IGMP snooping, and storm control support scalable and resilient network configurations.

Traffic Prioritization and QoS

Quality of Service is ensured through 8 hardware queues per port, allowing traffic prioritization by 802.1p CoS, DSCP, and various scheduling algorithms including strict priority and weighted round robin.

Comprehensive Network Security

The switch supports port-based security features including 802.1X authentication, IP-MAC-Port binding, DHCP snooping, and access control lists. It also includes built-in protection against DoS attacks and supports secure management via HTTPS, SSL, and SSH.

Environmentally Friendly and Silent

A fanless design ensures silent operation, ideal for noise-sensitive areas like offices or retail. Compliance with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and additional power-saving features such as scheduled PoE and port shutdown help reduce energy usage and operational costs.
